Tim was predeceased by his son Timothy (T.J.) Berg, his parents Joyce and Otto Berg, and his sister Stephanie Berg. He is survived by his devoted wife Diane (Heffernan) Berg; his children Lauren Berg and Richard Berg; his cherished grandsons Linus and Otto Potvin, Nico and Samuel Tanori-Berg; his son-in-law Joseph Tanori; his siblings Patricia Berg, Jaqueline Redding, and Stephen Berg; his stepchildren Nicole Pellosi Houle, Kelli Mack, and Matthew Peek and their families; his nephew Robert Sheehy; and his nieces Kelsey Berg, Ashleigh Berg, Olivia Redding, and Nicole Redding.
Family and friends meant everything to Tim. He deeply cherished every moment spent with them.
Born on March 15, 1959, in Brockton, MA, Tim was the middle of five children. He grew up in Carver, MA, and attended Plymouth High School. He married and welcomed his sons T.J. and Richie before moving to Maine, where his daughter Lauren was born. Tim loved Maine—the people, the beauty, and the peace it brought him.
Tim built a career in manufacturing, known for his strong work ethic and dedication, which carried him through to his retirement in 2024. He eventually returned to Massachusetts, where he met the love of his life, Diane. Together, they briefly lived in Florida before settling in a beautiful home on Beaver Lake in Derry, NH, in 2020.
Tim found joy in spending time with his grandchildren, children, Diane’s family, and many dear friends. He had a deep love for music and could often be found on the porch with Diane, listening to Pearl Jam. Tim had a gift for recognizing good people and keeping them close. His warm, kind presence and life-of-the-party spirit will be deeply missed.
A memorial service will be held on October 18, 2025, at 10:00 AM at Ridgewood Cemetery in North Andover, MA. In honor of Tim, his family invites those attending to bring a rock from their home. These will be used to create a memorial rock garden, ensuring Tim is forever surrounded by pieces of the people he loved most.
