Tyler Charles Murray

September 28, 1994 — June 25, 2025

Tyler Charles Murray, lovingly known as “Ty,” passed away on June 25th, 2025, at the age of 30—leaving behind a story of growth, love, and unforgettable energy.

Ty had a one-of-a-kind spirit—unapologetically himself, always quick to crack a joke, lend a hand, or fiercely protect the ones he loved. He believed in people—genuinely. If you got a new job, if your kid did something amazing—Ty was proud of you. Loudly. Like your win was his win. That kind of heart is rare. Whether he was laughing with friends, talking about his dreams, or simply spending quiet time with the people he loved, Ty was fully himself—raw, real, and full of love, even if he didn’t always know how to show it.

Music wasn’t just a passion for Ty—it was his language, his refuge, and his greatest joy. Through rapping and freestyling, he gave voice to feelings too big for everyday words. When he stepped up to a beat, he wasn’t just performing; he was telling his story—his struggles, his truth, his hope. Music gave him freedom and connection. It was where his soul truly shined.

Ty was a dreamer—big, bold, and stubborn in the best way. Even when life knocked him down—hard—he kept getting back up. He believed. Not just in himself, but in everyone he cared about. He wanted the people he loved to live fully, to be proud of who they were, and to chase what mattered. He never stopped hoping, even in the dark. That was his strength.

Recently, Ty truly began to embrace life in a new way. He made changes he’d never made before—choosing growth, showing up for himself, and moving with more purpose. He found joy in the everyday: going out to dinner, hitting the mall, buying new clothes and sneakers that made him feel good. It was a time of wins and big steps. He surrounded himself with people who brought him peace and encouragement—those who held a special place in his heart.

Even when he was hurting, Ty found ways to lift others up. He was proud of us—always. And now, he would want us to carry him forward with light and love. To laugh loudly. To love boldly. To keep dreaming. Because that’s what he did. Especially when it was hard.

He is survived by his siblings Mamie, Heaven, Cameron, and Doc, and his father Ronald. He was predeceased by his beloved mother Melissa, whom he loved most deeply, and whose loss he felt profoundly. While our family’s journey wasn’t always easy, Ty’s love was real—and we carry it with us now, in every memory, every song, and every moment we laugh a little louder in his honor.

We’ll remember Ty for his laugh, his music, his fight, his heart—and the way he made people feel seen, even when he didn’t always feel that way himself. He was wild, funny, real—and deeply loved.
