Yvette Elizabeth Romanoski

Sep 26, 1948 — Aug 16, 2026

Hampstead, NH

Yvette Elizabeth Romanoski died on August 16th at the age of 77. She passed peacefully at home surrounded by those closest to her & that loved her so dearly. Yvette was born September 26th, 1948 in Washington DC, to Earl Thomas Herbert and Lula Evelyn Herbert. Yvette was raised in Washington DC, a longtime resident of Williston VT & passed in Hampstead NH.

Yvette is survived by her daughter Kayn Romanoski-Newick, son in law Karl Newick, granddaughter Alexandra Simpson, grandson Brandon Simpson, long term "favorite boyfriend" Edward Bombard, brother Jerry Herbert, and son John Romanoski.

Yvette was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Tom Herbert, Paul Herbert, Bob Herbert, Lawrence Herbert, John Herbert, Mark Herbert, and sisters Debbie Herbert, Mary Medley, and Elvie Proto.

Yvette was a wildly thoughtful and caring person. She went above and beyond for her loved ones. She was a card shark by nature, and you always had to be on your A game when playing cards together. Yvette loved being out on the boat; she was truly happy when she was on the water. Yvette was very funny and always had a sassy quip to throw your way when earned. She would discreetly tell you that you were #1 to her (if you know, you know). She spent much of her time reading & doing crossword puzzles.

Yvette was a genuinely remarkable person. She touched the lives of so many people. She will be missed immensely.

In lieu of flowers, our family asks that donations be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital, American Cancer Society, or Alzheimer's Association in her honor.
